MULTIDISCIPLINARY ARTIST
Masaa 2016
Video, 4:06
A group of men carries a big sculpture from its place in the garden. What is at the center of this action is the carrying itself. The group becomes united by the sculpture and its weight. In return, the sculpture earns legs, movement, and lightness. The sculpture is "Syllable"- by the Israeli modernist sculptor Yechiel Shemi, from 1981. Many of his works were looking for the lightness of metal- a material that is essentially heavy. The soundtrack contains original recordings of metals.
